  • We went in with no expectations, and left having had the most amazing ramen in Japan. As others have said, perhaps a bit too salty, could do with less, but everything else about it was a taste sensation. Don't get the large as it is enough for two people, and the regular is still more than enough. I will divert on our next trip to Japan just to have this again. J&K, Australia

  • Key takeaways: Queuing outside when crowded. Buying the ramen tickets with the vendor machine nearby the door, cash only. Cleaning your table after returning your ramen bowl. Compared with the empty station square, it was packed up without available seats as we arrived at the shop. Such an ordinary stall many locals settle their meals there. However, we followed the waiting line since the seats would turnover soon. Before waiting, operate the ramen vendor machine to order your meals, including flavor, topping, or other add-ons. For foreign travelers, particularly non-native speakers, the shop staff could guide you on how to order. As the staff recommended, we tried the normal-size bowl and asked for additional garlic when serving. Its size wasn't normal at all. Such a satisfying size and tasty flavor! I enjoyed the dense soup, so thick can be the dipping source. Besides tender charsiu, plenty of sprouts and corn make the bowl look abundant. I still remember finishing it all and returning an empty bowl. So good. Be aware of the dining manners once you enter any local, famous ramen stalls like this. Remember to return your bowl and clean your table before leaving the seat. There's still some flavorful food in an unassuming town.

  • Potion is really big and very tasty for a reasonable price. It is really difficult to finish medium sized ramen. If you go here for a lunch please skip your breakfast.

  • A 1000 yen busy ramen shop in aizu-wakamatsu. Big bowl with big pork chachu. There are many school and business men in the ramen shop. For me, its soup is too salty.

  • Amazing value! A large bowl of ramen is just ¥1000. It’s super tasty, but slightly on the salty side. The garlic blended well though! You have to use a vending machine (in Japanese) to order before potentially waiting to be seated. It took about 15 minutes of waiting for me to be served, which is not bad considering it was the lunch hour. Definitely a must-visit for ramen lovers!

  • I went there because I'd heard the ramen was served in huge portions and I thought it would be a fun novelty - I went back because the ramen was delicious! The char sui was very tender and flavorful, the broth was rich, and the noodles were delicious! The place is small and frequently has a waiting line, but it's worth the wait! About the only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the amount of bean sprouts they put on top, but at the same time, it makes their take on ramen unique. They will ask if you want garlic and if you answer yes, then you get a nice big dollop of minced garlic on the side of the ramen - yummy! Definitely a great place to go!
